New Speech App launched by HandHold Adaptive

Speechprompts by HandHold Adaptive is a new app designed to help speech therapists target rate, rhythm, intonation, and loudness by combining a loudness meter with a waveform comparison tool.   The app could be useful for children and adults with dysarthria, mild apraxia, TBI, or voice disorders.

HandHold Adaptive reports The U.S. Department of Education's IES SBIR program funds research and development of SpeechPrompts, a collaborative project with the Yale Child Study Center.  The app has been tested by SLPs in schools.

AppCrayon with Triangular Grip Compatible with Multiple Apps

A new triangular grip stylus crayon by Dano Designs offers ease of use and control for young users.  It recently won the Editor's Choice Distinction Award from PC Magazine.  Dano claims it is compatible with over 300,000 apps.  Available at iTunes App Store or at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Walgreens and Target.
